I want to give you an advanced notice that prices are changing on our subscription boxes in November.

This was not an easy decision, but a necessary one.

This change is coming because of a few factors:

1. We buy our products for our boxes primarily from small businesses. Due to COVID, material prices have gone up across the board for everyone, resulting in those businesses raising their prices.
2. USPS has raised their prices 5+ times since I started shipping boxes in 2018. They raised them twice in 2020 and twice this year, with more increases to come.
3. I haven’t touched my pricing since I started Mama Needs Box 3 years ago. I have absorbed extra costs as long as I can.

I prayed over this all summer. I spoke with professionals, other business owners, my bookkeeper, friends and family about this. I agonized over it, cried about it and fought it as much as I could.

But the bottom line is that I either raise prices… or I close my doors.

I don’t want to close. I love this business, I love you guys, and I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that our boxes make a difference. Each box helps a Mama remember that she matters – and that will always be worth it!

I know all of you who love your Mama Needs Box and believe in our mission will understand the marginal price increase, and all the heart, care, and consideration that went into this decision.

And just so you know, now is the time to extend your pre-paid subscription if you want to lock-in the current prices. Seriously! You can choose a 3-month, 6-month, or 12-month subscription at the lower prices until November 1 – which is pretty awesome.

Here’s what’s changing:

1. Prices will increase starting November 1st. Our current subscribers will see the price change on renewal day on November 11. (Pricing tiers below)
2. What’s inside your box will not change – we will still include between 5-6 items inside, but hopefully have more flexibility with small businesses and their pricing. ($60-120 value)
3. We will now ship FREE – all subscriptions, one-time purchases, Shop items, everything ships FREE! Yay!
4. Our affiliate program will open very soon, where you can sign up, share your unique link with anyone, and if they buy a subscription using your link, I will pay you $10 cash. If enough people use your link to buy a subscription, your box could be FREE that month!
5. Subscribers will get exclusive podcast episodes each month diving deeper into our monthly box theme. There will be more info coming on this.
6. You asked, I’m delivering: Subscribers will get a sticker of the month inside each box! Custom-made, exclusive designs you won’t see anywhere else!
7. A more active, exclusive Facebook group community where I post sneak peeks, polls so you can choose what products to include or themes to do, and support and encouragement that ‘mama needs’.
